Managing Diversity As we enter the new millenium, renewing in the workforce is speedily increasing. Businesses and organizations are living up to the great melting pot image the United States has al demeanors been popular for. Employees now reflect a diverseness of ethnical perspectives, ethnic backgrounds, ages, genders, physical abilities, and levels of education. This ripple of multiculturalism is here to stay and cannot be ignored. It is in need of attention in order to uphold the well-being and success of businesses and organizations completely over the country.One way to face this wave of diversity is to insure to accept and value it (http//www.online.wbc.org/Docs/starting/diversity.html). What is diversity? Why does it matter? Once this is accomplished, the next step would be to learn how to manage diversity in the workplace. What kind of environment would managers have to create to educate employees about cultural diversity (http//mason.gmu.edu/Isamuel/diverse.htm). In addition, an efficient manager would quantify how well the environment that he/she has created is working (http//www.communitypolicing.org/exchange/e16_97/e16glosr.htm) What makes a good trainer? What are some common mistakes that a trainer could make? What is diversity? There are several definitions of diversity that exists in literature. Some definitions range from narrow to very broad.
